To the Staff at Getaway Cabins

Carl and I would just like to say thank you for making our wedding so beautiful and memorable.  Everything was absolutely perfect.  When all was said and done, the wedding and honeymoon was exactly what Carl and I had dreamed of--and then some.  Some of our friends have expressed interest in possibly doing the same thing when they get married.  We would certainly recommend Getaway Cabins to all of our friends.

Everyone made us feel at home, and added to our pleasant stay--even though our stay wasn't near long enough!   We are looking forward to a return trip!

We were married in the Log Gazebo on February 4, 2008.  It couldn't have been more special.  It was everything we hoped for and more.  This really was a very private and relaxing getaway.  The dinner that the chef prepared for us was spectacular!  We will definiely be coming back. 

We just got married and we had a blast!  It couldn’t have been more beautiful.  We really enjoyed the weather, and the cabins are beautiful.  I’m so happy they were so quiet and secluded.  My new husband and I plan to return.  We also enjoyed the friendly customer service…that’s what it is all about!  Great place to get married, great place to spend the night!  Thank you.

Thank you for making a very scary step into a very special memory.  From start to finish we enjoyed “THE” most romantic and intimate wedding day.  Thank you!  The cabin is wonderful, the ceremony perfect, the photographer great, the chef terrific, and the staff fabulous!  Sincerely….thank you for all the special touches we’ll never forget.

John and I could never be able to put into words how genuinely grateful we are for all that you both have done for us. I apologize again for being late. Despite the setback, you both still gave John and I the wedding of our dreams. It truly was “picture” perfect. We couldn’t have asked for more.

Thank you for use of the pavilion-it came in very handy. As soon as we set up the tables and food it began raining-the weather even timed itself perfectly that day. Please thank Christen for setting up the Bed of Roses for us, and please tell her that John and I wish her luck with her wedding planning and we hope she has as magical a day as we did.

After all these years, John still overwhelms me with his love-sometimes making it hard to breathe. I know that he & I share a love that will truly last a lifetime. The Bed of Roses was brilliant…it was very intimate and romantic, making for a very special night. Thank you so much for EVERYTHING. Hope to see you all next year and each year thereafter.

Greg and I are both avid outdoorsy people. We really wanted a simple wedding ceremony that would reflect our love of nature and passion for wildlife. We wanted the day to be about “us”, without the hustle and bustle and rushing here and there. We also knew we were working with a limited budget. When we found out that Getaway Cabins had the most adorable and comfortable cabins we’d seen AND that they could also perform our ceremony right there at our cabin, we were both ecstatic!!

It was the most perfect intimate romantic setting a girl could hope for. The cabin we stayed in was so private it felt like we had found a secret hideaway in the woods. It had all the comforts of home, equipped with everything you would need. The hot tub was so incredibly relaxing! We could feel the tension and stress melt away. We were like two little kids watching the wildlife that would visit us throughout the day.

Our stay at Getaway Cabins was our little piece of heaven. We found ourselves breathing a little easier, resting a little deeper, and getting back to what’s really important to both of us. It was like a renewal for our souls, replenishing us with the peace and tranquility we both so needed. And the staff was always kind and very helpful. Thanks Getaway Cabins for a place and time we will never ever forget!!

We’re already making plans to come back in the winter! See you then!

Mike and I want to first say thank to you and your staff for making this the most romantic and unforgettable trip! It could not have been more perfect for us. Everything came together for us on our wedding day…from the ceremony that Jennifer performed, to the photographer that was recommended, and of course the hairdresser that was recommend in that area. My hair looked fantastic and the weather was beautiful.

As we both love the outdoors, and wanted our elopement (so to speak) to be very special, I had first thought about Tennessee but neither one of us wanted to spend our few days off driving and I did not think it would fit our limited budget. Then I remember Hocking Hills that I have loved since I was a kid. The trip was certainly a lot closer for us and a nice scenic trip at that.

I can’t say enough great things about the cabin, it was simply fabulous. My husband had never been in a hot tub in his life so needless to say it was the first thing he did and we loved relaxing and enjoying it together. We also liked our daily visits from the raccoon family, who enjoyed coming over for our table scraps. While we were at the cabin (between taking in some local hikes) it was so peaceful and tranquil. I did not ever hear or see another person…exactly what we wanted. It was so wonderful to be able to snuggle on the couch in our little peace of heaven and enjoy watching the movies that you provided for your guests, without interruptions like PHONES ringing!
